In Mecca food  most important. Arable land and water scarce. Vegetable  and fruits were brought in daily from the surroundings. The surrounding the fruits and vegetable got sent from were, Wadi Fatimah, from the AL-TA, areas to the east of southeast and from southern agricultural, areas such as Bilad Ghamid and Bilad Zahran.(Britannica) Food is important to the Muslims because they have to eat certain thing and it was very expensive. Mainly in the port of Jihhad 45 miles west of the Red Seas.(Britannica)
